Areas of Practice

Train Accidents and Train Derailments:We practice all areas of personal injury law, to represent all victims of negligence, but have collectively developed extensive experience in handling complex tort litigation against large corporations such as railroad companies for injuries caused to their employees and the public. If you, a spouse, family member or friend has been involved in any type of railroad accident, train accident, train derailment, or suffered damaged from a toxic chemical train derailment spill, our lawyers are here to help.

FELA Injuries: If you or a loved one is a railroad worker that was injured in an on-duty accident the Federal Employers' Liability Act, also known as FELA, provides you with a way to recover for your injury if the railroad was negligent or violated certain safety laws. Railroaders engaged in interstate commerce who fall under the protection of the FELA are not covered by state workers' compensation laws. Your doctor may not understand this and it may be difficult for you to secure treatment because you have an on-the-job injury without workers' compensation insurance. The lawyers at Reddy Baran & Kral can help you deal with this issue.

Railroad Limo or Jitney ("Deadhead") Injuries
: Each year union railroad workers are transported in cabs (much like a taxi service) hired by the railroad to shuttle them back and forth from their job locations for various reasons. This is a practice commonly referred to as "deadheading." This type of transportation occurs at all times of day and night and often during poor weather conditions. Innocent railroad workers are sometimes injured or killed when these cabs are involved in motor vehicle accidents. These injuries can raise complex legal issues pertaining to a combination of motor vehicle accident law, insurance indemnification law, agency law and railroad worker safety laws. Our attorneys experienced in railroad litigation are here to help those victims and families of railroad workers who have suffered injuries while deadheading.

Reddy Baran & Kral also handle other cases involving serious injury caused by the negligence of others such as, construction site accidents, automobile accidents, truck accidents etc., for further information please visit: www.RBKlawyers.com
