New Mexico Train Accidents


In New Mexico, one of the earliest railroad accidents occurred on July 23, 1923 in the city of Domingo when a railroad derailed while making a somewhat sharp turn. The train involved in the accident was a double headed, 14 car passenger train. The accident resulted in the deaths of firemen and engineers, in addition to 45 people getting injured.
